  • Dr. Robert Gougelet
  • Director

  • Robert Gougelet, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Dartmouth Medical School, and the Director of the New England Center for Emergency Preparedness. Dr Gougelet is an early developer of one of the nation's first Disaster Medical Assistance Teams (DMAT), and through DMAT, has responded to numerous national and international medical disasters. Dr. Gougelet has worked extensively with the US Army Edgewood Chemical and Biological Command to develop a community resources planning guide and several community based surge capacity models. Dr. Gougelet provides Medical Direction for emergency response efforts in New Hampshire and Vermont and directs the Northern New England Metropolitan Medical Response System.

  • Assistant Director, Operations

  • Olan Johnston, EMT-P, is the Assistant Director, Operations for NECEP. His past activities include over 20 years in Public Safety as a Paramedic Supervisor, Law Enforcement Officer, Regional Hospital Emergency Services Director and State of Maine Project Administrator for NNE MMRS Maine Task Force 1. Olan has a degree in Emergency Services Management (1987) and is Department of Defense/Defense Security Service Anti-Terrorism Officer II.

  • Senior Research Support Specialist

  • Christine Tolis, MPH, is a Research Support Specialist with the Northern New England Metropolitan Medical Response System. Her past work has included smoking cessation counseling and education both at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA and at Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, VT. Christine received a B.A. in Biology from Middlebury College (2003) and an M.P.H. from the Center for the Evaluative Clinical Sciences at Dartmouth College (2006).

  • Administrative Assistant

  • Janene Robie, MBA, is the New England Center for Emergency Preparedness Administrative Assistant. Janene received a BS in Animal Science/Pre-Vet from the University of Missouri (1996) and an MBA from Lindenwood University (2003). Janene's previous work history includes Dartmouth College's Office of Sponsored Projects and General Motors Corporation in Kansas City, St. Louis, and Nashville, Tennessee.
